Gone in the office.
A better connection starts with understanding the problem.
The offer
I’m offering Lamorinda households a free, focused troubleshooting session using the Wi-Fi equipment they already own.
We’ll focus on your main issue, look for practical improvements, and leave you with a clear next step.
Talk through the problem and check coverage and connection performance where you notice it.
Review router or mesh placement and settings. Agree on any changes with you before making them.
Get a brief written summary of findings, changes and recommendations, plus a follow-up a few days later.
Up to 60 minutes, using existing equipment and connections. New wiring, electrical work, equipment purchases and ongoing support aren’t included. This is a focused session, not a comprehensive network assessment or redesign.
What happens next
Share your name, email, city and what’s happening with your Wi-Fi. A sentence or two is enough.
I’ll reply within one business day, usually the same day. We’ll discuss your setup and, if it’s a good fit for the help I can offer, agree on a weekday visit.
We’ll compare results before and after any changes. A few days later, I’ll check whether things are working better in everyday use.
Your neighbor, Calvin
I’m Calvin Andrews. I live in Lamorinda with my family, and I’m starting Good Home Systems to help people get more from their home networks and connected devices.
I’ve designed and set up networks for friends and family, built home automation systems, and spent plenty of spare time trying new equipment and setups.
I’m helping my neighbors while gaining experience with a wider range of home networks.
I’ll personally handle the conversation and visit. I’m also hoping to build a portfolio of real projects—with each homeowner’s permission.
A few good questions
I’m offering free Wi-Fi troubleshooting to help my neighbors while gaining experience with a wider range of home networks. There’s no purchase required. If you’re happy with the results, I may ask whether you’d be comfortable sharing your experience—but that’s entirely optional.
No. I’ll ask for honest feedback, but a public review, testimonial, photo or case study is entirely optional. Any permission to publish is separate from getting help. You’ll be able to review proposed material before it’s published, and examples will be identified as complimentary troubleshooting work.
No—some problems come from equipment limits, the home’s layout or the internet provider. The aim is to understand your issue, make practical improvements where possible, and explain what would help next. I’ll be clear if the problem needs work beyond this free troubleshooting session.
Free Wi-Fi help is available to households across Lamorinda. Visits are available Monday–Friday, with times agreed together. Sending an inquiry doesn’t reserve a place; I’ll confirm suitability and availability personally.
